Overview

A collection of five Barossa Valley Shiraz vineyards contribute varying characteristics of fruit to this wine. To this we have added some Shiraz base from our winery stalwarts, the Christa Rolf and the Heinrich. The Shiraz makes up only 90% of the final blend, with juicy confectionary and red cherries hailing from a very small percentage of Grenache and estate-grown Mataro, offering a deep, earthy background on the palate. Twelve months maturation in a mixture of new American oak barrels as wells as two-year old American and shaved French barrels.

Winery Tasting Notes

Liquorice and blueberry entice the nose, with bright flavours of red berries,

blackcurrants and chocolate. The velvety tannins and subtle oak soften the

palate and give a long finish. Ripe tannins and a complex acidity lend to the

overall perception of a smooth, approachable red wine, with a nice persistence

of flavour, lingering well on the palate.
