Winery Tasting Notes

DE BORTOLI DOWN THE LANE PINOT GRIGIO ARNEIS 2016:

A blend of Pinot Grigio, Arneis and Vermentino. Pear, honeysuckle and mixed peel characters are infused with lemony acid. Briny, textural and delicious. Silver Medal winner at the The Global Pinot Grigio Masters, UK 2018.

DE BORTOLI DOWN THE LANE MERLOT DURIF SHIRAZ 2017:

40% Merlot, 31% Durif, 29% Shiraz. Region: 62% King Valley, 30% Riverina. A lovely lick of juicy Merlot in harmony with rich Durif and the spiciness of Shiraz make for good companions in this innovative blend. With hints of vanilla, neatly balanced sweetness and soft tannins that give a generous length of flavour. Bronze Medal Cairns Show Wine Awards & Cowra Wine Show

DE BORTOLI DOWN THE LANE ROSE GRIS DE GRIS 2017:

Pinot Gris with some Pinot Noir. Paler than pale Rosé, textural & gluggable. Aromas of red apples and pears.Silver Medal - 2018 China Wine and Spirits Awards.

DE BORTOLI DOWN THE LANE SHIRAZ TEMPRANILLO 2017:

Flavours that work wonderfully well together, the spices and red fruit from the Shiraz and the savoury notes from the Tempranillo. As a nod to the Spanish hertiage of the Tempranillo, enjoy with a paella or tapas.Silver Medal - China Wine and Spirits Awards, Cowra Wine Show, Sydney Royal Wine Show. Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

De Bortoli Wines is a third generation family wine company established by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in 1928. The couple emigrated to Australia from Northern Italy, from mountain villages at the foothills of the Italian Alps, near the historic town of Asolo.

Their son, the energetic and dynamic Deen De Bortoli, (b 1936 – d 2003) expanded and consolidated the business created by his parents. Deen's children established De Bortoli's reputation for premium wine including icon dessert wine Noble One and the Yarra Valley wines.

Italian family values passed down from Vittorio remain core values, there is a culture of hard work, generosity of spirit and of sharing good food, good wine and good times with family and friends.
