The Pinot Gris grapes to make the La Boheme Act Three by De Bortoli are hand picked and gently pressed. Fermented in both tank and cask. Four weeks on lees post fermentation for additional creaminess, complexity and aromatics. Gentle handling and minimal filtration. Classic bistro wine – ethereal, aromatic, textural, sophisticated and so easy to pair with food. They’re wines with poise and charm. Enjoy with friends over a few plates of tapas.

Expert Reviews

Attractive peaches and pears with plenty of textural interest on the palate. Fresh flavours of melon, pears and pastry. 91 pts. James Suckling August 2018

"Very light straw colour with a tinge of rose-gold. The dried floral aromas are pleasant and restrained, with pot-pourri touches and the palate echoes this. It's light and dry and has good depth of flavour, the finish balanced and clean and refreshingly dry." 90/100 Huon Hooke The Real Review March 2018

Winery Tasting Notes

Vibrant straw colour with green edges. Gently fragrant with classic perfumed Pinot Gris characters of pear, orange blossom and citrus. Textural flavours with apple and mandarin, soft acidity, gentle classic 'Gris' style.

Great early drinking and will give even more aromatics with 2 years in bottle.

Brand Profile Image

De Bortoli Wines is a third generation family wine company established by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in 1928. The couple emigrated to Australia from Northern Italy, from mountain villages at the foothills of the Italian Alps, near the historic town of Asolo.

Their son, the energetic and dynamic Deen De Bortoli, (b 1936 – d 2003) expanded and consolidated the business created by his parents. Deen's children established De Bortoli's reputation for premium wine including icon dessert wine Noble One and the Yarra Valley wines.

Italian family values passed down from Vittorio remain core values, there is a culture of hard work, generosity of spirit and of sharing good food, good wine and good times with family and friends.
