Rating 93 - James Halliday Published 06 October 2016

Machine-harvested, crushed and destemmed into large open stainless steel fermenter, pressed to French oak (30% new) to complete fermentation and mlf, matured for 18 months. A lively and attractive cabernet, the bouquet fragrant and expressive, the medium-bodied palate with cassis and bay leaf balanced by firm tannins that will help sustain the wine over the years ahead.

Ratingn 92 - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front Drink : 2018 - 2024+ This Coonawarra cabernet has picked up a swag of medals – of all colours – on the wine show circuit. 500 dozen produced. It’s a distinctive wine. It stands out. It’s almost blossomy with herbs, lending it a real prettiness. It smells of mint and lavender, or something close to it, and comes backed by blackcurrant and dark tobacco. Tannin is fine, assertive and not-quite-seamless, but almost. You’d reckon this will mature and develop over a long period – given appropriate storage conditions.
