Angas & Bremer takes its name from the two rivers revered as the heart and soul of our region, where vines were first planted over 150 years ago.

Despite our long and distinguished history, Langhorne Creek is often regarded as Australia's best kept wine secret.

Expert Reviews

92 Points "Angas and Bremer, the defining rivers of the Langhorne Creek region. Nice name for a wine brand. Cabernet does so well in this region. Better than shiraz, oftentimes. This is curranty, plush, warm and generous. Violets, spearmint, a trace of creamy vanilla but only that, a trace. It’s all about that curranty rush of well-weighted fruit. Nicely done." - The Winefront

Winery Tasting Notes

The wine has lifted aromas of spice, dark cherry and plums with a rich, full-flavoured palate of dark forest fruits and vanilla, finishing with soft tannins and excellent length. It tastes great now and will reward patient cellaring.

Peter was introduced to the wine industry at a young age and quickly developed a passion. While studying for a degree in Oenology at the University of Adelaide, Peter completed a vintage with Peter Lehmann Wines in the Barossa Valley. Intent on broadening his experience, Peter spent the first half of 2001 working as a contract winemaker with Simeon Wines at Loxton and then traveled to the USA to work the 2001 vintage with Geyser Peak Wines in Sonoma Valley, California. In 2001 Peter joined Langhorne Creek Winery as Assistant Winemaker. Peter continued to grow and challenge himself as the business has expanded and he is now Angas & Bremer’s Senior Winemaker.
