Winery Tasting Notes

The Name:

“This wine forms part of our range named after our company owned vineyards in McLaren Vale. Sitting at the foothills of the Adelaide Hills, our Wickham Estate vineyards are located in one of the coolest areas in McLaren Vale providing us greater flexibility and diversity in our wine portfolio.” – Geoff Merrill

Winemaking Notes:

The colour is light straw with green hues. The aroma shows fresh grapefruit, apricot and tropical notes, with subtle creamy, toasted oak.

The palate is initially round, supple and inviting, and then shows the underlying structure and zesty acidity as it moves across the tongue. Ample stone fruit, melon and tropical fruit flavours sit above the well integrated oak which adds complexity and depth to this very drinkable Chardonnay.
