Overview

The winter and spring leading into the 2018 vintage provided good soaking rains. This allowed the vineyard to be well positioned for the latter half of the growing season. Into late January we experienced two intense heat peaks across the state well into the low 40°C. The overall growing season was warmer than the long term average similar to 2016.

Winery Tasting Notes

The 2018 Petaluma Hanlin Hill Riesling is typical of the Petaluma style, late picked and dry with lime and orange blossom aromas. This is a concentrated wine with intense lime, hints of chalkiness accompanied with beautifully

balanced acidity and the slight presence of viscosity.

A wonderful wine to enjoy now in its youth, but as with all Petaluma Rieslings, it will be worth watching it
