Overview

Being a part of the Hardy winemaking dynasty, winemaking is in Andrew Hardy’s blood. He began working with founder Brian Croser at Petaluma in 1982, and now his role is ‘custodian of the vineyards’. Over vintage he works closely with the viticulture team, travelling to every region and every vineyard tasting the grapes and determining when they’re ready to pick. Andrew believes the secret is in the vineyards; if they’re great vineyards, and the winemaking responsive, the wines will be outstanding. - Andrew Hardy, Winemaker Petaluma.

Winery Tasting Notes

Fruit from the cool Adelaide Hills and Coonawarra was picked in early March and fermented in stainless steel tanks, and a small portion on French oak barriques. Fresh tropical fruits and racy acidity combine with exotic herbaceousness and minerality.
