Expert Reviews

Rating 94 POINTS James Halliday Wine Companion

Wine CompanionTawny hue as appropriate. Striking taste, a mix of dried and crystallised fruit - raisins, apricot, plus chocolate and Christmas pudding. Has retained freshness despite some components 50+yo. Bottled '15 batch 002.

Winery Tasting Notes

Deep brown/amber with an khaki tinge.

Lifted intense aged-oak nutty flavours, with walnut, pistachio and vanilla oak characters showing the refinement of a true barrel aged tawny.

Extremely rich and full with a viscous palate of raisins, dark chocolate and Christmas pudding. The palate is round, luscious and long but has fine tannins which balance out the sweetness and help make the finish of the wine dry and savoury.
