The 2009 ripening period saw hot and dry conditions early that yielded to warm sunny days later in the season. These conditions are perfect for old vines producing grapes for full-bodied red wines. Our traditional winemaking practices saw exceptional extraction followed by 24 months maturation in new French barriques. The integration is superb. The resultant wine has terrific balance and structure. There is real power yet elegance.
