Rivers Run Pink Moscato 2018 (12 x 750mL) SEA

Growing - The star of this wine is also the world’s oldest known grape variety - Muscat. Also known as Gordo, the grapes are grown on old, low yielding vines, which impart ripe fragrant fruit flavours. We also used Shiraz to make this wine, selected from our lighter parcels of this noble grape in order to add flavour without overpowering it. The distinct rose colour and delicious flavours of this wine are a reflection of the care

taken to grow our fruit with a committed quality focus.

Making - All fruit was harvested during autumn, when the grapes were at their sweetest. The fermentation was slow and cool to help retain as much of the aromas and flavours as possible. When the sweetness level was optimal, the fermentation was stopped to retain the natural sugar of the grape while

keeping alcohol down. After fermentation, the wine was minimally handled until bottling and retains some of it’s

natural “spritz”. To obtain it’s distinct colour and an additional layer of aroma and flavour a small amount of

Shiraz was added. This wine was made to be enjoyed now.

Winery Tasting Notes

This wine exhibits a bright orange-rose colour. The appearance is complemented by a floral bouquet joined

by aromas of tropical fruit and sweet strawberries. Once tasted, the flavours of tropical fruit, roses and a hint of

strawberries carries through from the aroma. The flavours are lifted by the light “spritz” in the wine and rounded out by balanced sweetness and acidity. A hint of tannin adds structure to the wine.

Food - Drink this wine chilled on its own or with a light fruit based dessert. Alternatively try it with poultry.

Ageing - Drink now, there is no need to wait.
