Rating 89 - James Halliday - Published on 21 Jul 2011, Australian Wine Companion

Medium to full red-purple; clean, smooth, cherry and plum fruit with a touch of vanilla oak is followed by a medium-bodied palate with good balance, weight and extract. A very good outcome for the vintage.

Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

Strong red with well defined crimson hue.

Aroma

Ripe fruit provides a lifted bouquet of raisins, spice and tobacco. Integrated and subtle oak ensures that fruit aromas dominate the nose.

Palate

Polished tannins with easily recognisable Coonawarra black pepper and dark cherries. Firm structure ensures a good future. This vintage has produced a refined style of Australian Shiraz with balanced fruit, oak and alcohol.
