For this elegant medium weighted GSM, we selected Grenache from our1944 “Prisoner of War” block, the Shiraz from our “Katunga” vineyard and Mourvèdre from the “War Horse” site. We used 600 Litre Puncheons for the Grenache component and older French oak for the Shiraz and Mourvèdre to maintain varietal perfume.

Winery Tasting Notes
The wine exhibits aromas of red rose, raspberry and spicy plum, with hints of pomegranate and sweet leather.
On the palate this silky wine displays red currant, morello cherry, cardamom and blueberry, enhanced by traces of quince, red capsicum and subtle cedary oak. Approachable now or until 2026 under the right cellaring conditions.
