Winery Tasting Notes

Varietal Makeup: GTS consists of Grenache, Tannat and Shiraz.

Aroma/Palate

It imparts violets, fejoia and stewed quince on the bouquet, with the palate delivering sage, anise and cigar box flavours, whilst the Shiraz which was French oak matured, adds chocolate, Satsuma plum and pepper in addition to backbone and length of flavour.

Food Matching

Please double decant & enjoy with ox- tail, paella, chateaubriand, schweinshaxe, soft blue vein cheese or a rich dish.

Winemaking Notes

The Grenache component which provides the sweet front palate was matured in older oak barriques to maintain fresh varietal characters of rose petal, raspberry and subtle spice. The famously tannic Tannat which supplies the power and weight in the middle, was seasoned in 2 year old American hogshead.
