Pirramimma Katunga Chardonnay 2016 (6 x 750mL), McLaren Vale/AH, SA.

For our first Katunga Chardonnay release we selected fruit from the Katunga Homestead and Oakley blocks in McLaren Vale and cool climate Adelaide Hills fruit from the Kuitpo Hills Vineyard. All fruit was night picked at differing baume’s to enhance complexity, fermented and matured using French and American oak, with a portion going through malolactic fermentation.

Aroma

The wine displays a bouquet of Kaffir lime, cashew nut, vanillin oak and floral notes.

Palate

The palate delivers spicy melon, white peach, Granny Smith apple and creamy texture, with hints of Guava and lemony oak. This wine is balanced by quality fruit, oak and crisp acidity in harmony.

Cellaring

Ideal to drink now or will develop over the next 4 years.
