Les charmes Chateau les Amoureuses Grenache Noir 2015(5x750mL)Cote Du rhone

Settled between the Rhône and Ardèche rivers, wild landscapes are brought to life with hills and plateaus rugged by valleys.

With different altitude levels, they offer great surfaces for vineyards, which the culture goes back to ancient times.

Fig trees, junipers, olive trees, mulberry trees and lavender add to it to set the scenery.

Château Les Amoureuses Vineyard is settled in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, close to the Gorges de l’Ardèche, on the right bank of the Rhône, in an area intertwining a relative northern mildness and a rustic Mediterranean character.

Les Amoureuses, a true story or just a legend...

Long ago, when flowers began blossoming, the young girls of Bourg-Saint-Andéol used to come get some fresh air and discuss by a stream running nearby vines planted in the area of “Vinsas”. Young boys were not long coming to join them and love stories inevitably happened.

From then on those vines were named “Les Amoureuses”, a name which nobody would ever think of changing!

A PROJECT, AN AMBITION, A PASSION

Jean Pierre Bedel, CEO of the Fabemi Group, is an entrepreneur with a go-get personality, who has always had an enduring love for the land of Ardèche.

Along with his wife Florence, they became owners in 2011 of Château les Amoureuses with a deep set ambition to produce their own new wine.

There has been a total overhaul on the 76 hectar wine-estate, from the vineyard to the very least details of the barrel room: selection of varietals, vineyard procedures, vinification, ageing and blending. In other words, the whole winemaking process.A totally new approach orientated towards quality wine production, based on the diversity of Ardèche’s soils.

As a result the project of commingling TERRES DES AMOUREUSES (IGP ARDECHE craft wines, representative of innovation, freedom… and boldness!) with the classicism of CHATEAU LES AMOUREUSES (genuine and elegant wines, AOP Côtes-du-Rhône and IGP Coteaux de l’Ardèche) came to life.
