Located in the heart of Provence in the village of Besse-sur-Issole, Domaine Vallon des Cigales boasts 19 hectares (47 acres) than enjoy an ideal exposure. The vineyard is implanted on clay limestone soil and is situated at an average altitude of 250 m. It is subject to significant temperature differences and is not affected by maritime influences.

Domaine Vallon des Cigales was created in 1998 when the first grapes were picked under the direction of Michel Baudier (photo hereunder) following the purchase of existing neighbouring plots of vines and the lease of a farm. Since then, the owner Michel Quenin has been keen to pass on his passion for viticulture to his elder son Mathieu who, after recently completing studies in winegrowing and winemaking, has joined his father in order to perpetuate the family adventure.

Varietals - 35% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 15% Ugni-blanc, 5% Rolle, 5% Syrah, 5% Carignan.

Soft pink colour with salmon pink hues. Complex nose offering aromas of white flesh fruit with pleasant floral notes. Round and delicate mouthfeel offering interesting mineral touches.
