Expert Reviews

"It's an aromatic masterwork, with rose, musk, Turkish delight, a distinctive fennel seed note and spiced apple, all given a neat edge from the Riesling's natural acid" - Taste.com.au - Tony Love

Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Wieber Herold.

Well, it’s certainly aromatic! Musk sticks, radish, ginger, bath salts, ruby red grapefruit, lychee, etc etc. It’s light and fresh, loaded with mouth perfume and spice, has clear acidity, almost watery delicate flavour -in a good way – then a spicy dry finish. Curious wine. Has some sweetness, but works well as a whole. Like it. Would go very well with spicy food. Wine Front - Gary Walsh : 91 pts

Co-fermented blend of riesling, gewurztraminer and weißer herold. “Three Germanic luminaries”, as it says on the front label.

The Chaffey Bros wines always feel so harmonious. They glide through the mouth. This boasts a crunch of apple and a crackle of slate, but it slips and slides beautifully through your mouth. There’s a whisper of red apple-like sweetness/perfume and a gunsmoke-like note, along with a kaffir lime character. It’s an explosion of aroma, sure, but it’s also elegance personified. he Wine Front - Campbell Mattinson (Dec 2016) : 92 pts

Winery Tasting Notes

One Vineyard. Three Germanic Luminaries. One Aromatic Explosion.

Düfte Punkt is an aromatic paradigm-shift. A seamless single-vineyard blend of spicy Gewürztraminer, precise Riesling and textural Kerner (aka Weißer Herold). Striking lychee and turkish delight aromas introduce a complex palate showing lychees, mandarins, minerality and a lingering powder-puff of florals.

Drink it immediately with a cheese platter or take along chilled to your next Bánh mì picnic.
