Brokenwood Partners Blend Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2019 (12 x 750mL) NSW

Vinification

The fruit was crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Neutral yeasts were used for the fermentation, bottled in July. No oak and no malolactic ferment, only stainless steel.

Winemaker Comments

Cool year aromatics and fine boned here. One of our favourite blends and the proportion here is 84% Sauvignon Blanc and 16% Semillon. The fruit was machine harvested at night and trucked to the Hunter Valley immediately. Crushed, pressed and stainless steel fermentation followed.

Tasting Notes

Bright pale yellow with green tints. Aromas of citrus and tropical melon. Sauvignon Blanc from the cooler King Valley provides the powerful fruit backbone with Semillon giving structure of richness to the palate. A fine natural acid structure provides length and liveliness to the finish.

Food Pairing

Perfect with rich fish dishes and pasta.

Drink

Drinking well now but will improve with further bottle age.
