Winery Tasting Notes

Adelaide Winemakers `Landcross` Shiraz 2014: Fresh aromas, bright lifts of spice leads into red fruits and berries. A touch of oak as an extra layer .Medium bodied with mid-palate filling fruit and a strong acid backbone. Subtle use of oak lingers on the back of the palate.

Angove 'Cross Stitch' Shiraz Cabernet 2014: Rich, ripe plum and spice from the Shiraz are perfectly interwoven with the blackcurrant and chocolate characters of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Subtle oak undertones precede ripe red fruit flavours and fi ne tannins and a soft luscious finish

Solaris GSM 2015: Forest fruits and spice aromas. The palate whilst young has features of cherries and blackcurrants. Medium bodied with a savoury finish.

Vigilant Cabernet Sauvignon 2014:The aromas bounding from the glass are that of raspberry and blackberry. Those same characteristics extend to this medium bodied red wine.A wine that will cellar well and continue to develop over 3-5 years

Vinelane `Boxing Kangaroo` Cabernet Sauvignon 2015:The bouquet exhibits rich ripe blackberry and cassis characters balanced with a hint of mintness and light vanilla from partial maturation in French oak, and oak staves. The palate is medium bodied with sweet blackberry fruit and soft mint and characters interwoven with vanilla oak and finishing smoothly with soft rounded mellow tannins and acidity.

James Irvine `Signature Selection` Merlot 2010: Lifted ripe plums, spicy French oak tones, florals and violets. Deep, rich, fruit lift. Flowing through from the bouquet is the taste of rich dark fruit particularly plums and dark cherry. Full, yet complex flavours, the texture is soft and rounded finishing with abundant dry tannins. The mid palate structure is fully weighted and tight. Elegance with power. A wine that will continue developing to arrive at its best. Carefully cellar for the next 6-10 years.
