The 2011 vintage delivered a fantastic ripening period of warm, dry weather and cool nights, enhancing and capturing the grapes natural flavours. Overall the season produced outstanding wines brimming with varietal flavour, structure and intensity.
The Seaview vineyard is exposed to some of the toughest growing conditions in Marlborough; high sunshine and wind, cool nights and low rainfall which produces a smaller, thicker skinned berry with intense fruit flavours.

Winery Tasting Notes
This wine shows lifted notes of stonefruit, honeysuckle and spice.
The palate is rich and textured with complementary notes of pep-per and spice, which integrate well with fine acidity, providing a good backbone to the wine.
The Grüner Veltliner was hand picked at 23.5 brix, cropped at five tonnes per hectare and whole bunch pressed into tank to cold set-tle for 72 hours. The clear juice was racked carefully, warmed and inoculated with a selected yeast. A long, cool fermentation fol-lowed, to capture and enhance the classic Grüner flavours of stonefruit and spice. The wine remained on lees for three months with weekly stirrings to build on the texture of the wine. After sta-bilisation and a light fining the wine was filtered prior to bottling.
