The Yalumba Y Series of quality wines salutes our proud history of viticulture and winemaking in South Australia. The individual icons on each label reflect the labours, inventive thinking and aspirations of all at Yalumba.
Yalumba has pioneered the growing and making of Viognier in Australia. In 1980, the first commercial vines were planted in the Eden Valley and since then we have had 33 years of viticultural and winemaking experience working with this alluring variety. Vegetarian and Vegan Friendly

Winery Tasting Notes
Above average Spring and Summer temperatures, combined with lower than average crop levels and also the absence of rain has led to an early ripening season. As such, 2013 has seen wonderfully aromatic, rich and flavoursome Viognier wines produced throughout the regions of South Australia this wine has aromas of Orange blossom, fresh ginger and hints of hazelnut and camomile.
Sourced from a number of grape growing regions, the criteria for grapes to go into this wine is that they show the classic Viognier flavours and aromas of white flowers and apricot fruit, balanced by freshness and zest.
On the palate we can enjoy fresh pineapple and dried figs, followed by a creamy mid palate with a silky textural finish. The wild fermentation and lees ageing gives the wine an extra level of complexity on the palate that belies its age.
