Overview

2002 was an exceptional vintage in terms of climatic conditions starting with a wet winter, followed by moderate spring weather, and a warm and dry summer and autumn.

The vintage lasted longer than normal because of the gentle temperatures and consequently there was a long, slow ripening experienced prior to picking with most fruit having excellent aroma and flavours.

Medium bodied, soft fleshy mouth feel with well structured dusty tannins the full length of the palate, blue and dark berries, subtle earthiness with hints of dry herbs and fresh tea, well balanced acid, good length with a firm full finish.
