Over the years, Willow Bridge have recognized that certain sections within their estate vineyard blocks have special qualities. They make The Estate Series wines from these sections to provide a snapshot of how the grape varieties they grow best express a sense of their unique corner of the world. Each wine’s name is inspired by that part of the estate in which its grapes were grown.
They are so proud of these sections of vineyard that they have highlighted them on each wine’s label.

A full-bodied and complex rendition of tempranillo; black cherry, anise, earth, spice and tannin all thump the drum of this wine. Great with a flame-grilled slab of beef Spanish style. James Halliday, Rating 94, 28th July 2015
Winery Tasting Notes
Tempranillo hails from the inland central and northern regions of Spain and across into Portugal, where it is favoured partly for its early ripening so as to avoid any early autumn rains. Here in the hills of the Geographe region we rarely have to worry about early rains. We have found, however that our combination of moderate temperatures with high sunshine hours on the ‘Solana’ – the sunny side of the hill – provides us with the perfect conditions for growing Tempranillo with classic dark-cherry and rich, earthy characters.
