"It's hard to miss the value in this terrific little chardonnay that offers pristine and zappy stone fruit notes along with complexity added by wild yeast fermentation and nine months in French oak barriques. A very nicely balanced wine which manages to be a little shy and retiring, but flirtatious and tempting at the same time." Winsor Dobbin
Winery Tasting Notes
Brilliant pale lemon yellow, with a green tinge.
The fruit and savoury elements from natural, in-barrel fermentation entwine together in a spell of intricate fragrances with light notes of pineapple skin, green apples, tinned apricots, fresh lime and lemon glaze, weaved with granita biscuit, lightly toasted almond and a hint of clove oak spice.
Succulent and juicy, it lands with a soft overall palate sensation. It is fresh and vibrant with delicate fruit flavours of fresh pineapple and green apple and a hint of lemon cheesecake. The fine, juicy palate has a dry, lemon biscuit and citrus pith finish.
