Angels' Share is a gorgeous, silky rich Shiraz. Assertive aromas, bursting with blackberry, bramble and white pepper. Glossy dark cherry, mulberry fruit with fresh acidity and fine tannins. A classy wine that brings to the fore the best attributes of McLaren Vale Shiraz.

Deep purple-black colored, the 2010 Angel's Share Shiraz is intensely perfumed of ripe cassis, black cherry compote and blackberry pie with hints of dried plums, aniseed, tar and spice cake. Full bodied and vibrantly fruited on the palate, it offers an abundance of juicy black berry flavors with crisp acidity to enliven and a medium level of velvety tannins. The finish is long with some dried berry components coming through. Delicious at this youthful, primary-fruit stage, it should cellar gracefully to 2018+. Enticingly polished and ready to charm right away, this is a deep, rich, plush McLaren Vale Shiraz that unites powerful fruit density of focused black plum, blackberry and rhubarb with fine, supple tannins. Rating 92 -Tyson Stelzer, Wine Business Magazine, May 2012
Winery Tasting Notes
Deep concentrated and black colour
The bouquet is classic McLaren Vale of coffee, mocha, cola, chocolate, mulberry, plums and with some lovely spices backed by a little peppermint
The palate starts out coating and round, a really long drive with loads of plummy fruits. This finishes round, soft and very inviting; it has great personality and drive, and is a lot of fun to drink now and will age well into the medium term.
Under good cellaring conditions this wine will age 10+ years
