A wine produced from a selection of Montepulciano grapes with Merlot in small part, aged for twelve months in small French oak barriques.
- ITA - Other Italian
Vitalonga’s 2007 Terra di Confine is mostly Montepulciano with a dollop of Merlot aged in French oak barrels for a year. This deeply-colored, sleek red flows from the glass with a silky core of super-ripe blueberries, blackberries, licorice, new leather and tar. Perfumed and elegant throughout, the wine offers lovely balance in an understated style that emphasizes a fruit-forward personality over more typical varietal notes. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013. Rating 88 - Antonio Galloni - Wine Advocate (JUN/2010)
