Situated 100kms north of Melbourne, Heathcote is shaping up to be Australia’s most exciting new red wine region. The topography and Cambrian soils provide a vineyard microclimate that Shiraz vines thrive in.

2010 was characterised by an excellent level of winter rain however dry weather during flowering kept the bunches small. Good growing conditions throughout the season meant we could pick clean, ripe and high quality fruit.

His children, the fifth generation of the Tyrrell family, are involved in the family business, illustrating that this iconic Hunter Valley winery will continue to be Australian owned well into the future.
