The 2011 vintage experienced warm spring rains until mid-summer, giving the vines vitality. Autumn to harvest was cool and dry, creating a long ripening period that gave the fruit excellent acid and flavour retention.
“The extra time in the bottle has given this delightful single-vineyard sauvignon blanc time to flesh out and strut its stuff. That grassy character of New Zealand sauv is present but not aggressive, and the texture is downright silky.” — Washington Post

"Mandarin and grapefruit on the nose. A rich and luscious palate of tantalising passion fruit, guava, white flowers and shiso leaves. A lingering finish."

“Sourced from a single vineyard ... Its sense of style and attractive price tag make it a brand to watch.” — Wine Spectator
Winery Tasting Notes
Delightfully fragrant, with classic sauvignon blanc aromas, refined minerality, and ripe citrus.
Good concentration on the palate, with complexity and weight from prolonged lees contact. Shows tropical fruits, excellent structure, and fine acidity. Crisp, lively, and elegantly layered. The finish is long and well-balanced.
The screwcap and lengthy lees contact will give the wine three to five years of shelf life.
Excellent on its own or with seafood, chicken, pork, salads, and Asian food.
