This Chardonnay is oozing with rich, unctuous vanilla custard and cream on the nose and palate, it then opens up with nutty, smoky and savoury characters finishing clean and dry with some alcohol warmth.

Winery Tasting Notes
It has a deep yellow colour with green and gold hues.
The bouquet shows ripe peaches with toffee and creamy vanilla notes. The alcohol is heady with subtle American oak and hints of roast nuts and caramel.
The palate is well balanced with the mouth-filling flavours of vanilla, peaches and cream lifted by an alcohol “sweetness” which adds to the texture and structure. It has nutty complexity and the finish is long, mellow and satisfying with a refreshingly clean dry aftertaste.
This is a well balanced Chardonnay showing fresh fruit characters with integrated oak and malolactic complexity. It’s suited to all white meats including some more spicy dishes with clean fresh flavours like mild Thai curries and baked fish.
This is a full bodied, rich Chardonnay from a reputable vineyard with a history of producing wines that will cellar for up to 4 – 6 years. With over 2 years maturation this 2011 Chardonnay is drinking well now.
