The grapes for this wine were sourced from Angove’s own Nanya vineyards and premium growers in South Australia. Soils are predominantly red sandy loam over limestone, on gently undulating east west ridges.

Harvest was almost perfect. The weather was consistent with sunny days and cool nights. A smaller than normal yield was harvested with intense fl avour. Harvest began early as the fl avours and tannins ripened quickly, producing grapes deep in colour and rich in texture.

Complex aromas of red berry integrate perfectly with more savoury and red pepper notes with a gentle touch of oak.

Brand Profile Image

As a 125 year old, multi-generational wine company, Angove Family Winemakers has a strong commitment to sustainability at all levels. With major vineyard holdings across South Australia our links to the land are as strong as ever and our desire to protect and improve this finite natural resource is driving much of our development. Over one third of all company owned vineyards are certified Organic including the Warboys Vineyard in McLaren Vale. This means we grow our grapes with no artificial herbicides, fertilisers or pesticides. At no stage during the grape growing or winemaking processes have we used any synthetic chemicals or inorganic inputs. These are wines as nature intended – pure and clean – crafted with just the gentlest touch from our winemakers.
