Bullnose is one of New Zealand's first and finest syrahs. Produced since 1992 it has always been made from Te Mata's Bullnose vineyard in the Ngatarawa Triangle district of Hawkes Bay. Whilst Bullnose has remained a single vineyard wine, over time its make up has evolved from the original single clone wine to become a multi-clone blend. It has been produced every year except 1994 when the grapes were lost to a hailstorm.
Bullnose is an aromatic, savoury, and elegant expression of syrah which, when well stored, develops and intensifies in bottle for 4-7 years from harvest.

Winery Tasting Notes
Bullnose ’10 has a dark crimson colour.
The wine shows complex aromas of boysenberry, raspberry, red plum, red roses and allspice.
The palate is full and even with great balance and purity of varietal expression. Powdery tannins provide structure and a long, elegant finish.
It will continue to evolve in bottle for eight years from harvest.
