“We think this is the best we’ve ever made” said winemaker Peter Cowley and, just quietly I think he’s right. Aromas of black tea, cracked pepper, violets and dried herbs lead to a solid, cherryish, spice-laden wine that’ll definitely warm the cockles with its enveloping dark chocolate flavours and silky tannins on the finish."Yvonne Lorkin, Festive Food & Wine Top 50 For Christmas (DEC/2010)

Winery Tasting Notes
Impressive deep magenta in colour
Aromas of raspberry and cherry syrup, combined with baking spices and a hint of lavender.
The rich palate follows through with the same flavours, and displays velvety tannins underpinning plum and cream notes, leading to a long, elegant finish.
Serve alongside all the traditional foods that suit great red table wine (such as noble cuts of meats roasted or in casseroles, in particular lamb and game).
Bullnose Syrah 2009 will continue to develop in bottle for 8 years from harvest.
