Overview

The fruit for this wine was selected from three distinct block on the "Left Field" of the Estate vineyard. The blend of these three different clones was key to the complexity of fruit flavours in this wine. Low cropping and careful management during the season was undertaken to target clean, optimally ripe fruit at harvest.

Winery Tasting Notes

Aroma

This wine displays attractive aromas of nectarine, peach and pineapple. Hints of star anise and exotic spice and further interest to the nose.

Palate

The palate is dry in style with ripe citrus and stonefruit characters. This is complemented by subtle, biscuity oak flavours from the barrel fermentation. A bright and lively aciidty supports this easy drinking style, making the finish refreshing and lingering.

Their aim is for a synergistic effect, where the wine will be better than the sum of the individual parts. Once blended, the components marry and age together, evolving towards harmony as one wine - the best possible expression of their vineyards unique character.
