The Swan Bay range continues the Scotchmans Hill wine-making philosophy of restraint, elegance, balance and purity. These wines take their name from the Swan Bay nature reserve. A beautiful landmark at the eastern end of the Bellarine Peninsula, Swan Bay was named by Commander Matthew Flinders in 1803 while he was mapping the southern coastline of Australia.

The 2013 vintage produced red varieties that exhibit wonderful flavour, depth, and complexity. The long mild summer provided an excellent vintage for red wines, particularly Pinot Noir and Shiraz.

Expert Reviews

Sexy oak on well-ripened fruit. Needs time to settle but the signs are looking good. Dark cherry-plum, mint, musk and five-spice. Fractional awkwardness to the tannin but the volume of fruit and oak is there to compensate. Rating 91 - Drink by 2020 - CM, Wine Companion (FEB/2014)
