A small block of Chardonnay was planted in 1999 with the Penfold's clone. Its southerly aspect with cooling breezes results in small berries with intense flavours making it the ideal cool climate Chardonnay.

Winery Tasting Notes
Yellow peach with exotic aromas of jasmine and spice from premium French oak. As the wine breathes, sweet almond comes through.
Intense, ripe yellow peach flavours continue on the palate and this is complemented by toasty nuttiness from the oak. Full and round in the mouth, the luscious complexity comes in part from barrel ferment using wild yeast. The wine has a long, intense and wellstructured line to finish and balanced acid keeps all the elements fresh and clean. Bottle age will reveal even more textural qualities.
Shellfish - crab and lobster; roast chicken with tarragon; veal saltimbocca cellaring: Enjoy now or it will evolve over the next 6-8 years.
