A warm ripening season with intermittent rains. Sauvignon Blanc, being quite succeptible to disease, had to be managed well for airflow to ensure the fruit zone dried quicker after rainfall episodes.
The grapes for this wine were machine harvested in the early morning and top loaded directly into the press. Each vineyard batch was made as an individual stainless steel vat fermented wine. Cloudy juices were inoculated using selected yeasts and fermented using warmer temperatures. This combination gave rise to a textured and fruit driven palate. Blending of the individual batches took place in early May, where soon after it was filtered and bottled.
- VIC - Yarra Valley
A well-made, middle of the road sauvignon blanc, with gentle citrus, kiwifruit and gooseberry flavours, but once again, showing the limitations that the lower Yarra Valley has with sauvignon blanc. Rating 90 - Drink by 2016 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (MAR/2014)

Such a fresh wine is best enjoyed now, whilst young and vibrant, however it will drink well for up to 3 years
