From part of a clonal planting on the Upper Ngumby Vineyard, this 277 Chardonnay clone had slightly larger bunches and berries than average. Fruit selection started with tasting off the vine, and this fruit showed great promise from an early stage with its depth of concentration and flavour.

Similar straw colour to the standard Chardonnay; the palate is fuller and rounder, with some oak in play,but the fruit flavours traverse the same range of white peach, nectarine and nougat on the long palate. Rating 93 - Drink by 2017 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (MAR/2013)

Vibrant medium straw with a green hue.
Nectarine, white peach, fresh toast, nougat, floral.
Lemon tart, white stone fruit, cucumber, cashew, brioche.
Released after 6 months bottle age, an additional 3-8 years will further enhance complexity.
