Made with fruit sourced from some of the oldest vines (over 25 years) the Reserve Pinot Noir showcases Pinot Noir's layers and complexity coupled with elegance and richness of flavour.
- VIC - Mornington Peninsula
Made from 6 vineyards in the Merricks, Main Ridge and Red Hill districts; destemmed and open-fermented in small pots, kept as separate lots for 9 months in French oak (25% new), then a further 5 months as a blend. Shares the brilliant clarity of colour of each of its siblings, with a fractionally deeper hue than that of Windmill; the perfumed, flower and spice bouquet leads into an intricately detailed palate, alive with red fruits, stretching from the fore-palate through to the finish and aftertaste in an unbroken stream. Winery Tasting Notes
Very attractive bright floral notes with some earthy autumnal characters adding a nice hint of seductive complexity.
The fruit profile is bright, with cranberries, pomegranate, and an assortment of riper red berries. With time in the bottle a sweeter mid- palate has emerged, with some lovely firm tannins providing direction and support to a very persistent palate. A wine very much in the elegant spectrum of Pinot Noir, highlighting the delicacy that this variety is capable of in cooler climates.
