Estate grown and hand picked from the vineyards surrounding Hundred Tree Homestead on Sally’s Hill including the famous Sally’s Paddock vineyard. These exceptional varietal wines reflect the wonderful idiosyncratic characters and flavours of Redbank grapes and the unique style of Sally’s Paddock wines. Made in small batches, hand punched, wild yeast fermented and basket pressed, these wines truly express the potential of single varieties from non-irrigated vines, which were planted in 1973.

Winery Tasting Notes

A beautiful deep ruby.

This exquisite example of a Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc blend opens with lovely ripe plum and a spicy, earthy aroma.

Defined flavour characteristics of clove, violets and white pepper are also present. Well developed, mouth filling flavours of luscious ripe berries, coupled with barrel age gives an incredibly soft, round palate that is generously intricate and well balanced with fine silky tannins and a long, savoury flavourful finish.

Cellaring potential

Great to drink now, but will continue to develop in bottle for the next 15 years.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Sally’s Paddock at Redbank Winery was established in 1973 by Neill and Sally Robb, in the Pyrenees region of Central Victoria. Distinctly Australian, the winery is named after the small town of Redbank situated three kilometres to the north and is located 2 hours north-west of Melbourne in the heart of the Pyrenees range.

In 2013 the famous Sally’s Paddock vineyard celebrated 40 years, and in that time the building of a family obsession like no other—just like their famous Sally’s Paddock vineyard, the Robb family have their roots planted deep in the Pyrenees soil. With Neill’s father establishing the first Pyrenees winery, Chateau Remy, in the early 1960s, Neill shares a unique and passionate connection with the region and its winemaking potential. Now, his daughter Sasha, a third-generation Pyrenees winemaker, continues the tradition by his side.
