Pale straw-green; Skillogalee has 40-year-old vines, and has always had gewurztraminer on its books, highly regarded by many; rose petal aromas and some spice, plus a hint of sweetness on the palate, make for a style with broad appeal. Winery Tasting Notes
The wine is pale straw yellow in appearance with green tints.
There are lifted aromas of lychee, rambutan, papaya, mandarin and musk.
The wine has a tight yet generous, kaleidoscopic palate, with flavours of rockmelon, custard apple, thai basil and ginger all playing a part. The finish is clean and crisp with plenty of refreshing, zesty acidity.
A fantastic food matching wine, spanning most genres: - top of the list should be lightly-spiced, contemporary Asian food, fresh summertime salads and flavoursome white meat dishes.
