Schild Estate wines are created with authenticity and passion. From real earth in the Southern Barossa by generations of a family who have made that place their home.

So much a part of the area’s white wine fabric, the rich reliable fuller flavours of the Barossa Semillon can sometimes benefit from having a leaner, racier partner in crime. As a result in 2009, Schild Estate started working with Brendon Cameron and his small patch of premium Sauvignon Blanc in the Adelaide Hills, to see what a combination of these two regional expressions may bring. Needless to say we liked it and continue working closely to try to improve it.

Winery Tasting Notes

Pale straw with green tinges.

Tight and clean where subtle aromas of classic Sauvignon Blanc gooseberry fruit intermingle with secondary more mineral aromas of river stone and powder puff bath salt perfume.

Gooseberry and citrus primary fruit characters show up front before the wine reveals its structure with a clear and direct line and some dynamism on the mid and back palate. The finish is fresh with a touch of grip.
