So much a part of the area’s white wine fabric, the rich reliable fuller flavours of the Barossa Semillon can sometimes benefit from having a leaner, racier partner in crime. As a result in 2009, Schild Estate started working with Brendon Cameron and his small patch of premium Sauvignon Blanc in the Adelaide Hills, to see what a combination of these two regional expressions may bring. Needless to say we liked it and continue working closely to try to improve it.

Winery Tasting Notes
Bright green straw gold.
Elegant cut grass with light floral notes, gooseberry and hints of tropical fruits
The palate is suffused with fresh hay and juicy primary fruit characters, passion fruit mingled with citrus. The Semillon contributes a lush quality which is perfectly balanced by the zesty, mineral texture of the Sauvignon Blanc leading to a crisp long finish.
