2012 was a wonderful vintage in the Barossa with ideal ripening conditions ensuring the vineyards yielded beautifully balanced and expressive fruit. For Merlot particularly it was a year where we saw enough sun to ensure optimum ripeness, but a lack of any significant heat ensured ripening occurred in a slow, steady manner allowing harvesting decisions to be made easily and in a timely way.

Winery Tasting Notes
Deep cherry red.
Soft, expansive aromas of dark plums, fresh cherries and chocolate supported by secondary hints of cinnamon spice and floral perfume notes.
A soft, fleshy attack on the front palate showcases some further hints of plums and dark berry fruit before a fine tannin framework kicks in providing a fresh, focused feel to the wine with just a little hint of spice to finish
