Schild Estate’s approach to making Chardonnay starts with site selection and vineyard location. It focuses on utilising altitude and the cooler locations of the Barossa Valley to provide acid backbone and tautness along with lower lying valley floor sites to bring fresh intense fruit flavours to the mix.
This delicate balancing act is then supported in this particular style through techniques such as lees stirring to provide texture and body.

Winery Tasting Notes
Fragrant delicate floral notes, white peach bouquet, nectarines and stone fruit.
Round and juicy with a hint of creamy volume derived from lees stirring and some tell tale varietal nuttiness. Familiar notes of white peach, tropical fruit and lemon citrus to finish are coupled with a fresh acid line and a clear direction of travel and some real balance.
Drink to 2020.
