Great perfume here. Whiff of green herbs and roast capsicum with a cavalcade of dark berry fruit, plums, clove spice and violets. Like the scent. Juiciness in palate, sloshes around with authority and a raft of dark fruits, spice, herbs and mesh of drying tannins. Finishes shortish, but has something in reserve. Winery Tasting Notes
This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Complex and intriguing aromas of poached plums, blackcurrant, cloves and liquorice.
Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine structure with brooding black fruits and harmonious tannin fingerprint. Merlot encourages a softness and juiciness with bursts of ripe red fruit and fresh plum jam. Finally, the Cabernet Franc contributes a delicate spiciness of black pepper and cloves, continuing with hints of dark mint chocolate and pleasant cedar box undertones.
Enjoy this wine from now for up to 10 years.
Best paired with crispy pork belly with balsamic and root vegetables and for dessert poached pear, in mc² of course!
