Overview

Bright colour; slightly reductive on opening, with savoury struck match, green olive and essency red and blackcurrant fruit on show; the palate is juicy, forward and varietal, showing plenty of flesh, albeit presented in a simple form.

The Robert Stein Vineyard and cellar door is located just a short drive from the centre of Mudgee, in the Central West of New South Wales.With a winegrowing family lineage dating back to 1838, the 25 year-old vineyard produces award-winning reds, whites and fortifieds.Jacob Stein has a natural affinity with riesling, having spent several years honing his skills in Europe,though all of his wines show a gentle hand andsubtlety not usually found in Mudgee. Stein winesregularly show cool climate characters – ripeness atlower alcohols – and a great capacity for longevity.
