Veritas Winery was established in 1955 by Rolf Heinrich Binder. In 2005, on their 50th Anniversary, Veritas became Rolf Binder Wines. The winery tradition is now continued by Rolf and Christa, as brother and sister winemakers. The philosophy of all Rolf Binder Wines is to let the vineyard tell its own story. Rich, ripe blend with the 33% Merlot softening out the back palate grip of the 67% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sourced from the estate vineyards at Light Pass in the north eastern subregion of the Barossa. Best consumed in 5-10 years.

Winery Tasting Notes

Complex flavours abound in this medium bodied wine with soft gentle tannins, and a long lingering finish. The drier, warm season has given a style with intense flavours, retaining good amounts of blackcurrant syrup aroma and

a balanced palate. The varietal back-up from the richer plum fruits of the Merlot gives this very drinkable blend a bright fruit lift.

Winery Profile

From its inception in 1955, Veritas Winery produced mostly fortified wines as well as the famous 'Bull’s Blood', a blend of Shiraz and century-old Mataro. Now many years later, second generation winemakers Rolf Binder, and his sister Christa Deans, are leading Veritas winery into the future under the Rolf Binder brand. Together they are producing exceptional wines using only the best Barossa fruit.
