Icewine is a rare and exceptional wine from Canada. Ridgeside Winery is proud to export our wines around the world and produce a number of different varieties of Icewine for your enjoyment. Typically regular wine grapes are harvested in the Canadian fall, from September to October. However to produce Icewine, the grapes are not harvested until December or January, when the weather is at its coldest and the temperature has reached at least minus ten degrees Celsius or below. After hand harvesting the frozen grapes, they are immediately pressed and release a small amount of juice which is very concentrated in flavours and character. The end result is a unique and special sweet dessert wine.
