Portrait Shiraz is made in the tradition of the very first Peter Lehmann wine, and represents the heart of Peter’s Barossa.
Fruit from more than 60 growers across the length and breadth of the Barossa makes up the final blend, affording consistency to the original Peter Lehmann style: robust and generous.
Several of these vineyards are now 100 years old or more. But age alone doesn’t make a great Shiraz – it is how the vineyard is managed, the quality of Peter Lehmann Shiraz continues to improve as growers evolve and adopt new practices in the vineyard that allow us to make better wine.

Winery Tasting Notes
The outstanding 2010 vintage in the Barossa has produced a classic Portrait Shiraz.
A deep red/black colour
A rich bouquet of chocolate and black forest fruits.
This is a full bodied wine with soft, velvet tannins, a long finish and demonstrates the foresight of our forefathers who planted
Shiraz in the Barossa in the 1850s.
While drinking beautifully now, it can be cellared with confidence for another 5-10 years if so desired.
This wine is a perfect accompaniment to steak, roast beef or lamb and excellent with pizza and meat based pasta dishes.
It is delightful with aged cheddar or pecorino cheeses.
